
A native of Morris Plains, New Jersey, Dr. Kurt Blaicher received a B.A. in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania, where he also started at left offensive tackle for the varsity football Penn Quakers. Dr. Blaicher also attended the University of Tennessee college of Veterinary Medicine, graduating first in his class in 1982. He received the Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society Award, The Diamond Award,the DuPont Radiology Award, and the Upjohn Small Animal Clinical Proficiency Award in his senior year in veterinary school.
A Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, Dr. Blaicher has certification in Canine and Feline Practice. He owned the Animal Medical Group of Plainfield from 1993-2007, before merging his practice with Plainfield Animal Hospital in October, 2007. Dr. Blaicher enjoys all aspects of clinical practice, but small animal reproduction, surgery, and ultrasound are his areas of special interest.
