Dr. Courtney Zinna
Growing up in New Jersey her whole life, Dr. Courtney Zinna decided at the very young age of three that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She went on to pursue her dream by attending Rutgers University for her undergraduate studies, where she majored in Animal Science. During her time in undergrad, Dr. Zinna helped conduct research on the human-animal bond and completed a wildlife internship at Conserve Wildlife Foundation. Dr. Zinna later went on to earn her veterinary degree (DVM) from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated with high honors.
Dr. Zinna’s favorite thing about being a veterinarian is, “the everlasting bond she forms with her patients and clients.” She has over 8 years of clinical experience in both private and corporate practice, including 2 years of relief work, which allowed her to gain valuable experience in different hospitals all around the state. Most recently, Dr. Zinna was the Hospital Medical Leader of the Vetco Total Care in Toms River, NJ. She is very excited to be the new Medical Director at Plainfield Animal Hospital and further both her leadership and clinical skills.
Dr. Zinna has special interests in Internal Medicine, Preventive Medicine, New Graduate Mentorship, and Dermatology. She is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, as well as her loving husband and island rescue dog, Quinn.
